We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal and health information. Surry Hills Dental Centre complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).

Medical history, allergies, medications, dental records
Payment and insurance details
How we use it:
To provide dental care and treatment
To liaise with specialists, insurers, or labs when needed
To process payments and health fund claims
To communicate with you about your care or appointments
How we protect it:
Your records are stored securely and only accessed by authorised staff. We do not share your information without your consent unless legally required.
You may request access to your records or ask for corrections by contacting our Privacy Officer.
Booking, Cancellation & Deposits
To help us provide timely care, we kindly ask that you respect our scheduling policies.
Appointments can be booked online, over the phone, or in person.
Please give 48 hours notice if you need to change your appointment.
Missed appointments without notice may incur a fee.
A deposit may be required for longer or specialised treatments. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture.
Fees & Payments
A treatment plan or quote will be provided before starting care.
Payment is required on the day of service, unless other arrangements are agreed in writing.
We accept cash, bank transfer, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, HICAPS (only applicable for private health fund with Extras cover), CDBS.
Health fund rebates are available on-the-spot via HICAPS. Patients are responsible for any gap payments.
For major procedures over multiple appointments, flexible instalment plans may be available.
Treatment Risks & Consent
Your health and safety are our priority.
All treatments involve benefits and potential risks.
We will explain options, risks, and alternatives so you can make an informed decision.
Written consent is required for orthodontics and dental implant procedures.
Cosmetic results (e.g. whitening, veneers, orthodontics) vary between individuals; outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
X-rays, scans, or photographs may be taken to support diagnosis and planning. With your permission, anonymised images may be used for education or marketing.
